I just heard a fantastic radio show which filled me with hope on the internet, KPFA.org, Archives, The Visionary Activist (under "The") January 29, 2009.David Blume talking about solving out energy deficit by quickly and completely converting from oil dependence to creating energy locally--by turning a variety of substances formely thought of as waste--weeds, grass clippings, manure (I think)--into alcohol.
